If you are running Audio Notetaker at the moment, you must exit before installing an update.

Important information for v1.1 users. You must have a serial number beginning with "AN" in order to activate Audio Notetaker updates. If you download and install an update and you don't have an AN serial number, you will not be able to use Audio Notetaker after the 30 day trial period. If you are a v1.1 user, and you have not yet received a serial number by e-mail, please contact support@audionotetaker.com.

Updates

v1.4 is now available for download. The latest available version is 1.4.20908.1, released on 8th September 2008. All Audio Notetaker users can update to v1.4, free of charge. v1.4 will be the last version 1 release. It does not introduce any new functionality, but merely offers some performance improvements and fixes some reported problems:

• Improved Memory Efficiency. v1.4 uses less memory when the notes pane has a lot of text or images.
• Olympus WAV Support. Index-mark support for Olympus recorders which produce WAV rather than WMA files.
• Fewer Crashes. No more crashes at the end of an import! All other crash reports have been investigated and the causes rectified.

This is the first v1.3 release. V1.3 ships with a brand new application, the Audio Notetaker File Manager.

• See all your Audio Notetaker files at one time and sort them by date or metadata.
• Search the text of your Audio Notetaker files, and bring up the search result in Audio Notetaker at the relevant section.
• See which audio files are associated with which Audio Notetaker files.
• Easily locate audio recordings and import them into Audio Notetaker.

• Save selected audio. You can select any part of the audio pane and save it to a new audio file.
• Spelling Checker. A fully-featured spelling checker that can import the user dictionary from your favourite word processor.
• Truncate Text Pane. Allows you to display more audio by temporarily truncating the text pane to match the audio pane.

This is the first v1.2 release. The new features in v1.2 are:

• Save as album. This allows you to save your formatted audio to disk in Album format, ready to transfer to your phone or portable player, or burn to CD. Each section becomes a separate track named from the first line of text in that section.
• Support for pasting of images and PowerPoint slides. You can now paste whole PowerPoint slides as well as individual images into the text pane.
• Push Remaining Text. This new function makes it easy to divide one long piece of text into different Audio Notetaker sections.
• More efficient ANT file format. The file format of ANT files has changed to accommodate images and PowerPoint slides. Whilst you will still be able to read v1.1 files, users of v1.1 will not be able to see the images and text formatting in v1.2 ANT files.
