- One person to record and take notes on a lecture or seminar and share the audio notes with everyone else.
- Audio Notetaker to be used by lecturers/teachers to distribute Audio-Visual material.
- Where appropriate, Audio Notetaker files to be submitted as coursework or evidence of ability.

Audio Notetaker requires Microsofts .NET 2.0 runtime. You probably have it installed already, but if you don’t, the installer will offer to download it for you. If you have problems downloading .NET 2.0 during installation, you will need the full installer of the viewer (over 30MB) which incorporates .NET 2.0 in the install package.
